I am thrilled to announce our next MASCIC Reading Circle, beginning May 5th. We will meet bi-weekly to traverse the muck of the Everglades and the horizons of Janie Crawford’s heart.

The MASCIC Reading Circle is a space for deep engagement. Following the inspirations of our previous circles—where we explored texts such as The Intimacy of Spirit by Sobonfu Some, Myal by Erna Brodber and Kybalion by Three Initiates —we focus on the spiritual, cultural, philosophical themes, the texture of the language, the historical context, and the visceral reactions these stories and subjects provoke. Our online meet-up provide a brave space where every reader’s perspective enriches our collective understanding.

This Circle is included as part of your Subscription to MASCIC meditation. It is one of the many benefits of membership, designed to nourish your mind and spirit through collective literary exploration. It is otherwise a nominal £2.22 (for each reading circle) plus you purchase/access your copy of the book at least two weeks prior to the start.
We usually read about 5 chapters, depending on the length of the book, over two weeks before the meet up.
